Athena comes to you in a black tin, resembling a cauldron. (Glass jars of Athena are sold out.)

Greek goddess Athena (known in Rome as Minerva) was the patron of warfare, wisdom and the arts. The myth centering around her birth is one of the most important tied to Athena — she is said to have emerged from her father's head, full grown and fully clothed. Her dad was Zeus, so that's kind of a big deal.

How'd it happen? The myths vary, but they have a common thread: Zeus was told that he would have a child wiser than him, so he devoured one of his first wives, the goddess Metis (who was said to be among the wisest), whole, while she was pregnant with Athena.

Soon after, Athena busted out, thoroughly impressing her father. She soon became his favorite.
