Persephone comes to you in two options: a black tin (resembling a cauldron) or an amber-colored glass jar.
Greek goddess Persephone is a bit of a Gemini... both the Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld, the Greeks (and Romans, under the name Proserpina) crafted the myth of Persephone and her husband Hades as an explanation for the changing of seasons.
In the story, Perspehone is taken to the Underworld by the god Hades, who sought to make her his bride. Her mother Demeter was pissed, but Persephone herself decided she would stay with Hades in the Underworld for at least a few months at a time after eating the food of the dead (pomegranate). Persephone would then visit her mother in the land of the living during other months, bringing spring to the world. #Compromise.
Burn this candle when you need to reflect on both sides of a situation.
She's bringing:
- Pomegranate (righteousness, fertility, knowledge)
- White flowers (purity)
- Bergamot (independence, release)
Candle is made of an organic soy wax blended with extra virgin olive oil. Fragrances are premium oil blends (natural fragrance oil and/or essential oil). Wicks are made of natural, organic cotton.
The Magick used at Heart & Heathenry is "Spicy Psychology", and is meant to inspire you. Wishes aren't granted without a little effort on your part. Burning a candle won't make your desire happen, but it can help inspire you to chase after your dreams.
